Marsbu has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Mainland China’s largest charging platform, “YKC Clean Energy Technologies”, marking the first ‘interconnectivity’ of electric vehicle charging networks between Hong Kong and Mainland China. This collaboration will facilitate more convenient charging services for vehicles traveling north from Hong Kong or for Hong Kong residents renting cars in the north. It also aims to improve the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in both Mainland China and Hong Kong, further advancing Hong Kong’s digital payment solutions and green technology developments.
‘Interconnectivity’ Charging Service
This interconnectivity initiative between Marsbu and YKC Clean Energy Technologies will leverage cloud technology to connect over 520,000 charging points across more than 380 cities, offering Hong Kong electric vehicle owners more convenient charging options.
Development of Charging Facilities Across Hong Kong: Aim to Install 20,000 to 30,000 Charging Points Within Two Years
As electric vehicles become increasingly common in Hong Kong, the demand for public charging points is high, with every 10 electric vehicles competing for one charging point, causing long queues. Marsbu plans to expand into Hong Kong’s petrol stations, charging stations, and monthly parking lots, hoping to add 20,000 to 30,000 charging points over the next two years to broaden the charging network and provide more comprehensive electric vehicle charging solutions and convenience.
Marsbu specialises in various electric vehicle charging solutions and promotes shared charging facilities. YKC Clean Energy Technologies is a leading third-party SAAS charging platform and the largest public charging network in Mainland China. This interconnectivity collaboration is expected to enhance the development of new energy sources in Hong Kong and provide more convenient and high-quality electric vehicle charging services for Hong Kong vehicle owners traveling to Mainland China.
